You have a new website, great domain, great product, your excited, but no visitors!
I’m sure by now you have figured out that the old saying “if you build it they will come” just does not work online. Building a great website with a great product is just dead in the water without website traffic.
Whenever I launch a new website there are a few steps I follow to attract the visitors online. These visitors will eventually want to see your offer and buy your product.
I teach others that the first way to attract visitors is to create quality content in the form of an article. This article will then be submitted to article directories. Do a search on google for the top 10 articles directories and submit away. Try and submit a few articles each week.
The second step I will follow to attract new visitors is with pay-per-click. As of now google has all the internet visitors and you can pay for that traffic. Using Adwords, google will send you very targeted traffic. But be careful, make sure your bidding on good targeted keywords.
Joint ventures are another great way to launch your new website. Find other people who have an email list and spark up a relationship with them. Once your relationship is solid then ask that list owner to do a mailing with your new website link inside the email.
My favorite for instant traffic is forum marketing. You can do a search for a niche forum and signup. Once you signup start posting useful information. After you are established, place your website link in your account signature. Now you can post away each day and have your link at the bottom of your reply.
One last way to gain more traffic is to use banner advertising. Find a website that is similar to yours, contact the owner and ask if you can place a banner on there site. There must be something in it for the website owner, so you can split the commissions with that website for any sales.
Gaining traffic to your website is the most important part of any internet marketing campaign.
