When I first started out trying to make money online, I made a lot of mistakes. One mistake was not using a step by step plan of attack to make it work. Let me give you little road map you can use to get started with your affiliate marketing campaign
1. Your first priority is to build a mailing list. This list will be your visitors that you will educate and offer your products. The list you build is not a spam list, it’s a very targeted list of users that are interested in your specific information.
2. Have good security from others trying to steal your sales by clocking your link. Cloaking will hide your true affiliate link and this will prevent others from stealing your commissions. If you do a search online for “php redirect” this will show you exactly how to set this up.
3. Usually affiliate commissions are not steady, so what I like to do is have a membership site I can promote. Build a membership site that you can update 3-4 times each month. A membership site will give you great residual income and will offset the times when no affiliate commissions are coming in.
4. Try and figure out the best strategies for your marketing campaigns. We all read a lot of different information and if not careful we can get side track on other stuff. If you can figure out 2 good strategies for marketing then you will be able to stick with them for long term success.
5. I like to tell people to watch what others do and not what they say. What I mean is duplicate what other successful marketers are doing. Join other list owners and see how they are wording there email. Look a the sales copy and how its laid out on the page. Then from all this data you can duplicate and put your own spin on it.
Ultimately your success online is going to boil down to one thing, and that is taking action. These 5 tips will not work without massive amounts of action.
